Lee ~ Maternity Session

This was easily one of the coldest days I’ve done a session, but with only a little complaining from the mommy-to-be, we were able to get some great shots!  I am so happy with how these came out.  You can hardly tell it was only 45ish degrees with 25 mile per hour winds that day.

Erica and I work together and I am so excited for her to join the mommy club.  She and her husband Micheal will welcome their baby boy next month.

Meet Chelsea Weiberg!

Just a few short weeks ago I was taking photos of Michelle’s cute little baby bump, and now baby Chelsea is here!  This little sweet pea loves to be held and does not care for costume changes.  🙂 Congrats Michelle and Jan on your precious baby girl!

Stewart Przyjemski ~ 6 Months

I cant believe this little munchkin is 6 months old already!  It seems like just a few weeks ago we were doing Christmas photos and his mommy, Kati, was barely showing.    I loved being Stewart’s photographer last Sunday.  He is such a happy little boy and so darn cute!  I guess it doesn’t hurt that his parents could have just stepped out of a magazine.  They make my job so easy!

Isabella Kamm is One!

It’s hard to believe, but Isabella Kamm is one!  It has been a joy and a pleasure to watch this little girl grow over the last year.  I want to say “thank you” to her sweet parents for allowing me to be their family photographer.  I hope you all enjoy the pictures from Bella’s one year session.  🙂

Weiberg ~ Maternity Session

We had a beautiful, HOT day at Sims Lake Park for Michelle and Jan’s maternity photos, but Michelle was a champ.  Baby Chelsea’s due date is rapidly approaching, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at Michelle.  She is such a cute pregger!  And she was game for almost anything I suggested.  🙂

A Shower for Baby Chelsea

This past Saturday, I photographed Michelle Weiberg’s baby shower, and boy what a shower it was!  I don’t think I’ve ever attended a baby shower where Madonna was playing and the finger foods included crab cakes!  It was great!  Michelle’s theme for her soon to arrive little Chelsea’s nursery is Winnie the Pooh, so her sweet shower hostesses did the same Pooh theme for her shower.  I especially loved the “pot of honey” center pieces.

Baby Chelsea is due to make her arrival in early October.

Meet Halley Simpson!

Halley is another precious little lady that is destined to be my daughters BFF.  Not only is her mom one of my faves, Halley was born two days before my daughter.  And in the same hospital.  Halley was not completely pleased with the ides of a photo session on her Sunday afternoon, but with her patient parents, we were able to get some smiles out of her.   🙂

Congrats to Maggie and Shawn.  She is absolutely precious and look at those cheeks!

Meet Ava Ellen Porter!

Meet our sweet neighbors, the Porters! Rob and Jess moved into their home next door to us shortly after we moved in. And shortly after we announced we were expecting, they did too!  They decided to let the gender of their little bundle of joy be a surprise, so when I found out they had a girl, I was ecstatic.  My first thought; our daughters will be besties!  🙂  When I got to meet previous Ava, who was born three weeks early, she looked sooo small compared to our 10lb 5 week old.  You can see for yourself on Facebook this Thursday when I’ll share a picture of our girls side by side.

It was such a pleasure working with this family, plus you cant beat the commute 🙂  I hope you all enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Congrats to the new mom and dad!

A.J. ~ Mini Maternity Session

As much as I ❤ photos, I really didn’t think I wanted maternity pictures of myself.  But after a lot of cajoling from my friends, family, and other moms, who told me that even if I didn’t appreciate the pictures, one day my daughter might want to see what I looked like while pregnant with her, I gave in.  It turns out, taking pictures of yourself is not very easy.  🙂  We only did 6 poses, and it took a looooong time.  But, we prevailed, and came out with a few that even my critical eye can be happy with.

I do have a couple more that I’ll be sharing on Facebook this week, so be sure and check those out too.  I’ll be taking a few weeks off to be home with my newborn, but will be back later this summer and ready to schedule some sessions!  Thanks for visiting my blog.  See you all in a few weeks.

Thanks!

Doto ~ Maternity Session

Within the first few days that I met Liz, it became obvious that Liz’s dream is to be a mom.  But Liz and her husband James were told that they wouldn’t be able to have biological children, so they were well into the adoption process, which Liz talked about freely.

A year ago this month in fact, I meet with them to do a couples session so they would have some recent pictures to include in their adoption book.   The baby they hoped to get was to be born in November 2013 in North Carolina.  I worked with Liz at the time, and I know how hard she worked to get everything in order for the adoption agency.  There were a few hiccups along the way, but as November drew closer and closer, Liz went to the doctor and found out she was pregnant.   🙂

I am so excited for these two who will be welcoming their baby boy J.J. (Jon James), on June 6th.

Thanks for checking out the blog!  Liz and James are not of Facebook, but I will be posting more pictures of them there on Thursday.   So feel free to leave them comments here.

Next week, I will share a few pictures from my own maternity session.  Liz and I are due only 2 weeks apart. 🙂

Thanks!
